Rao Duhad's Journey to Karnataka: The Saga

The journey of Rao Duhad to southern India is one of the most adventurous stories in Rajput folklore. Guided by the dreams of his ancestors, Rao Duhad traveled to Karnataka to bring the family deity home.

Facing Obstacles

Traveling across thousands of miles of medieval roads, crossing rivers and dense forests, Rao Duhad kept the wooden idol of Chakreshwari safe. His faith never wavered during the long voyage.

The Setup in Nagana

When the wheels of his cart got stuck in the desert sands of Nagana, it was clear the mother had chosen her site. The simple rural shrine built then has now grown into this majestic temple.
