Nagana village is situated in the Kalyanpur tehsil of Balotra district (formerly part of Barmer district) in Rajasthan. Here is how you can easily reach the shrine using various modes of transport.
1. By Road (Recommended)
Traveling by road offers flexibility and beautiful views of the rural Rajasthani landscape. The main route follows National Highway 25 (NH 25).
- From Jodhpur (approx. 80 km): Drive along the Jodhpur-Barmer highway via Kalyanpur. Turn off at Kalyanpur and cover the final 14-15 km on a well-maintained local road to reach Nagana. The journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours.
- From Jaipur (approx. 420 km): The recommended route is Jaipur -> Ajmer -> Beawar -> Jodhpur -> Kalyanpur -> Nagana. Total driving time is around 7-8 hours.
2. By Train
The nearest major railway terminal is Jodhpur Junction (JU), which is about 80 km away and well-connected to major Indian cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, and Ahmedabad. From Jodhpur station, you can hire a private taxi directly to Nagana or take a bus. Alternatively, Balotra Junction (~35 km) is another option for local trains.
3. By Air
The closest airport is Jodhpur Airport (JDH), located approximately 85 km from Nagana. It operates daily flights connecting Jodhpur with major cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Jaipur, and Bangalore. Taxis are readily available outside the airport for direct travel to the temple.
